ESCA BC Objectives

1) Create, maintain and update a professional Association dedicated to educating and qualifying Erosion & Sediment Control Professionals.

2) Promote the standards for inclusion in local and provincial rules, regulations, procedures and laws.

3) Develop educational programs to both promote the Erosion and Sediment control field and train professionals in both an informal skills development setting and in a formal recognized certified professional standard.

4) Create, maintain and update a registry of BC ESC Professionals.

We work in concert with organizations like the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association, and educators like Vancouver Island University's Natural Resource Extension Program, and build upon our annual ESC Metro Vancouver Conference to raise the level of expertise and experience for designers, contract administrators, regulators, contractors, site supervisors, inspectors, and monitors.
